What to expect after facelift surgery?

You should expect swelling of the face after the surgical procedure. If you feel pain (generally you don’t), it usually subsides after 12 to 24 hours of the surgery and you will also prescribe painkillers if it is needed. Swelling and bruising may subside after two to three weeks. However, taking medication prescribed by your doctor will help you ease your symptoms and will give speedy recovery.
